Karate kid summary

The Karate Kid is a film about a boy that goes by the name Daniel Lurusso. Daniel and his mother go all the way to California to have a fresh start. Daniel’s new start in California he gets himself into a karate tournament with a very special sensei, Mr Miyagi. He had bullies that made him feel the need to learn karate which was why he signed up for the karate tournament. They made a deal if they left Daniel alone until the tournament. With all his training done he won the tournament, a trophy and the respect from others.

My favourite character is Mr Myagi because he comes from a very hard past. Lost family, Wife dead and child while he was in the army. But what I like most about this character is that even though he doesn't have a family to come back home to he still shows Daniel-san he matters. Cause like you know how people are all abusive, mean and aggressive because of their past. Well Mr Myagi doesn't show that to anyone that doesn’t deserve it.

An event which made me laugh was when Mr Miyagi took Daniel-san out on the boat and Daniel-san had to stand on the tips of the boat and control his balance. They started talking and then Daniel-san said something that made Mr Miyagi want to make him fall off the boat. Daniel-san fell into the water and that was very funny.

I would recommend this text to other teenagers because it shows you that moving might not be such a bad idea. Sticking up for someone that made you feel welcomed and getting a hiding shows you what  integrity is. But most of all it shows you that fighting isn't good for you and for them. I recommend this text to other teenagers because it could open your eyes to this world and make you realise more about life.

We have also been learning about different film terms and techniques.

My teacher showed us what each of these shots mean. She gave us different meanings to different shots and made us learn what they were. After she finished teaching she wanted us to find different photos of each shot to see if we understood what she meant. We weren't allowed to copy her photos, no,  she wanted us to find them ourselves. So we did and here are some photos of each camera shot I found.

  1. Awesome mahi, Capri. Would you recommend this film to adults? Have you seen the sequel? I think it would be interesting to watch the entire series and look at how the main characters change.
